Choosing a therapist as well as the type of therapy can feel quite daunting.
It is widely recognised that the most effective outcomes are based on the quality of the relationship between client and therapist, and it is my experience that building trust and understanding with a client can help them begin to vocalise experiences and express emotions that may be difficult to talk about.
My approach is grounded in working with you as an individual – a process that aims to clarify and illuminate issues central to you in a way that is non-judgmental and down to earth.
Existential psychotherapy asks us to consider our values, and what really matters to us. We are invited to examine our lives, and encouraged to live courageously, responsibly, and with authenticity. What works for one person may not work for another and as such my approach is flexible and adapted according to your needs. Together we will work to develop a deepening awareness of aspects of your life that you may find problematic or confusing, allowing you to engage with your choices and ultimately to decide how you want to live in order to meet the challenges of your life, with greater recognition of your resources and strengths.
